    After two decades of working to prevent injuries across Alaska, the Alaska Injury Prevention Center has launched our new name: Center for Safe Alaskans. At Safe Alaskans, we work to prevent injuries, promote wellbeing, and improve safety for all Alaskans.

CarFit

The CarFit program is an educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them. It also provides information and materials on community-specific resources that could enhance their safety as drivers, and/or increase their mobility in the community.

Thanks to funding from the Alaska Highway Safety Office, Safe Alaskans staff coordinates CarFit events in the Anchorage bowl. CarFit is sponsored by AAA, AARP, and AOTA.
